What To Expect
Caroni Lagoon National Park

Made a booking on short notice, and everything went smooth. From booking to drop-off. Breathtaking views if you’re a nature person like me.
Great Tour

Our tour guide and driver was amazing. Pick up and drop off was on point. 100% excellent tour and the photo opportunities are amazing
Great experience if it doesn’t rain.

Very relaxing boat trip up the river with lots of wildlife sightings, e.g. snakes and birds. Enjoyed watching the Scarlet Ibis coming home to roost. our guide, Ginelle, from Island Experiences was excellent.
Absolute Amazing Experience!

My mam and I went in this tour together and had the pleasure of meeting our driver and guide, Kaleel. He picked us up from our hotel, we felt very comfortable and welcome in his vehicle. When we got to the swamp, it was overcast and looked as if it was going to rain, and he let us borrow his personal umbrella, which was very nice of him. We really enjoyed seeing the beautiful birds, and the swamp itself was stunning! 100% recommend this tour, it’s a must when visiting Trinidad! Cameras do the beauty of these birds no justice, you must see it with you own eyes. Thank you to Kaleel and the tour operators for adding to my mam and I’d first trip to Trinidad :)
Birds and Wildlife galore!

All went smoothly. Birds were plentiful. Glad we were on boats to get into their roosting areas (at a distance). Our guide, Khalil, was great!
Scarlet Ibis

Unusual experience, well organized, friendly crowd and guides. We saw the scarlet ibis all coming home to roost at sunset and a few flamingo on the beach but it was a long way away. We enjoyed the tour along the waterway and would suggest others may too.
We made the best of it

We actually enjoyed ourselves throughly on this tour despite it raining for the first half of the tour and us sitting under a plastic tarp. We had a good group and we all made the best of it with jokes and funny pictures. One of the riders actually had trash bags that she passed out so we could all make ponchos.
I’d love to have the company provide that for future rainy tours. Even having a clear tarp would have been nice so we could still see something while we were covered up.
Once the rain cleared we really enjoyed seeing all the birds and hearing about their history. There has a bit of a political tangent during speech the which lost them one star in this review.
Best choice if you can spare an afternoon/evening in Trinidad

This is my third time doing this trip, and while the novelty has worn off and the actual number of birds (especially egrets) has diminished over the years (although now flamingos are frequent when there used to be none), it is still the best thing to see on Trinidad!
